Call for Applications: Postdoctoral Position 2018, Santiago de Chile

The Millennium Center for the Study of the Life Course and Vulnerability (MLIV) is an interdisciplinary research center publicly funded by the Millennium Scientific Initiative by the Ministry of Economy of Chile (MINECON) based in Santiago de Chile. The MLIV brings together sociologists, economists, demographers, and physicians from several Chilean universities and research institutions, supported by an international network of research institutions and specialists on life course analysis.

The aim of MLIV project is to conduct advanced research on how the cumulative effects of the past are reflected in today’s individual unequal living conditions and well-being. The focus of MLIV’s work is on identifying how key life events and transitions over the life course affect the individual’s accumulation of socioeconomic advantages and disadvantages in life domains as education, labor market and retirement, health and well-being, and family/demographic dynamics.
